it depends on your requirement.
But in general it is a relational database you need to design your fact table and dimension tables after that you can use SSIS to load data from your data sources (e.g OLTP) and load it in your staging tables or in your data warehouse. Use SSAS to design your cubes and SSRS to design reports.
I really recommend if you can take a look at books about this topics (sql server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
for SQL server 2008 you can read the series of Step by Step books.
Step by step guide not include code.
